I’ve been selling my modern, hanging ceramic bells at markets in Colorado for a while now, and thought I’d make a post to showcase some of my favorites. These are so much fun to make, and they are a really fun hanging wall decoration!
Nouvelle Collection – Modern Hanging Ceramic Bells (White Stripe / Gray Stripe / Pink Stripe)
My Nouvelle Collection of modern hanging ceramic bells is available in three colors (pictured above). The white stripe nouvelle modern ceramic bell features a matte white glaze over a medium brown clay body. The gray stripe nouvelle modern hanging bell features an almost metallic looking matte glaze over a rich, dark clay body with an exposed raw clay stripe. The ‘pink’ stripe is really a bit more creamy/ruddy and reddish in color, and like the hanging gray stripe bells, it has an exposed thin stripe of raw clay exposed.
Each bell is finished with a solid walnut wooden clapper, which give the bells a lovely, distinct sound. The pitch of the bell is lower in the larger / wider bells, and higher in the narrower / smaller bells.
